Cuernavaca is called the city of eternal spring, and the climate really is its defining feature: mild almost all year, without the cold of the highlands or the heat of the coast. That made it, decades ago, the place Mexico City goes for the weekend.
It runs on two rhythms. Midweek it is a state capital with offices, universities and hospitals; on Friday it fills with people arriving from elsewhere and by Sunday it empties again. Jiutepec, Temixco and Emiliano Zapata form a single urban area with it.

Three to five days, well covered. Dishes with fish and vegetables that arrive already dressed last less, so they are worth planning for the start of the week.
Does it go in the freezer cleanly?
Most of it does. Stews, rice and meat in sauce come out of the freezer well; salads and raw vegetables do not. On delivery, ask which portions are worth storing straight off.
Is it more expensive than doing it at home?
If you count only the supermarket, yes. If you count what gets wasted, almost never: you are not buying avocados that turn before you cut them, you are not throwing vegetables out midweek, and you stop ordering in on the days there was no time. And the washing stops.
Can I try before booking a full week?

Do they deliver once a week or more?
It changes between businesses. Some do a single delivery, some two or three so the food arrives fresher, and some go daily. Since each one publishes it, you choose the frequency that suits you.
Does it work if I only come at weekends?
Yes, and it is a common case here. Several businesses run packs of two or three meals so the house is sorted on Friday rather than starting with a supermarket run. The thing to check is whether they deliver at weekends, because not all of them do.
Do they deliver in Jiutepec and Temixco?
Several do. In practice it is one city, but the ravines mean not every kitchen crosses, so each business publishes its zone and you filter by yours.
